Join SCCRPD with congratulating Lieutenant Joseph Versagli, Sergeant Ryan Kushner, Sergeant Benjamin Brown, and Sergeant Gregory Blue for successfully completing the three levels of FBI LEEDA's Trilogy Training. The FBI’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) presents three levels of executive-level leadership for law enforcement officers focused on first-line supervisor leadership, command-level leadership, and executive-level leadership. Upon completion of all three courses, law enforcement officers are recognized as recipients of the FBI-LEEDA’s trilogy award. Each of the three courses is 4 1/2 days long and focus on the importance of implementing modern and effective leadership styles that ultimately enhance the agency's ability to provide the best level of service to their officers and to the communities we serve.
The three courses cover topics that include supervisor accountability and authenticity, discipline strategies, ethical and command decision making, resilient leadership, building trust and procedural justice, employee wellness, strategic planning and much more. The completion of these trainings only strengthens the agency's foundation and knowledge of modern day leadership as challenges facing law enforcement are constantly evolving. Currently, two more members of the leadership team are enrolled in FBI LEEDA's Leadership training. Sergeant Stephen Madonna and Det. Sergeant Gregory Smith are expected to complete the Trilogy by fall of 2027.
