Downingtown Borough will be supporting the Pennsylvania State Police this week during the memorial services that will be held for Corporal Timothy O’Connor at Saint Joseph’s Church, located at 338 Manor Avenue (SR 322) in Downingtown Borough.
There will be traffic restrictions on both Tuesday, March 17th, and Wednesday, March 18th, associated with the memorial services, which will significantly impact traffic within the Borough and surrounding communities. Motorists are asked to avoid non-essential travel through Downingtown Borough during the periods of closures and related traffic restrictions.
TUE MARCH 17th
Manor Avenue (SR 322) will be closed starting at 2 p.m. for an escort procession to Saint Joseph’s Church. Motorists should expect significant traffic delays in Downingtown Borough through at least 3:30 p.m. All roadways will reopen after the procession passes.
WED MARCH 18th
Manor Avenue (SR 322) will be closed starting at 6 a.m. between Pennsylvania Avenue and Rock Raymond Road. This closure will be in effect until approximately 3 p.m.
Both the eastbound and westbound exit ramps from the Route 30 Bypass to Manor Avenue (SR 322) will be closed beginning at 11 a.m.
