FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Northampton County Office of the District Attorney, the Hellertown Police Department, and the Lower Saucon Township Police Department, in cooperation with the Saucon Valley School District, have continued investigating the threat involving the Saucon Valley School District.
On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, the Lower Saucon Township Police Department was contacted by Saucon Valley Middle School regarding a potential threat to the School District involving a firearm. This threat led to the temporary closure of the Saucon Valley School District on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
