On January 27, 2026, around 2:15 am, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to a residence in the 500 block of S. Pearl Street for a report of shots fired. Officers quickly discovered a female teenage juvenile who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was medically treated. After careful review of the circumstances, officers concluded this was a domestic-related incident. As a result of this investigation, Detective Sergeant Shawn Gunnet charged Darrius Aaron Edmond, of Lancaster, with four counts of Aggravated Assault (F-1), one count of Person Not To Possess A Firearm (F-1), one count of Firearms Not To Be Carried Without A License (F-3), four counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M-2), and one count of Simple Assault - Physical Menace (M-2). Currently, Edmond is not in custody, and his whereabouts are unknown. An arrest warrant has been issued for Edmond.
