The Borough of Mechanicsburg will be removing snow from East Main Street and West Main Street, between Walnut and York Streets, and from South Market Street, from Main to Simpson Streets, in the early morning hours on February 2nd, 2026. Main and Market Streets in those areas will be posted "No Parking" starting at 10:00 PM on February 1st, until 9:00 AM, February 2nd. Vehicles remaining parked in those areas after 10 PM on February 1st will be ticketed and towed, so please move your parked vehicles. Off street parking is available, for free, in both Borough parking lots located in the 1st blocks of East and West Strawberry Avenue. The police department will make every effort to avoid removing vehicles by towing them, but we are asking for your assistance in letting your friends, neighbors, and other residents, who live in those areas, know. The streets in those areas will be temporarily closed during the snow removal process and reopened immediately following the work. The streets will be closed for a few blocks at a time to insure the safety of those completing the snow removal.
