On December 18, 2025, at approximately 6:50 AM, Lock Haven City Police officers were dispatched to the area of Linden Street and Second Avenue, Lock Haven, for the report a single-vehicle accident. Through the course of investigation, the driver, Guy Vernon Mase, was suspected of driving under the influence. Officers observed that the vehicle, which had been slightly over an embankment and curb, to have a heavily iced windshield that would have severely obstructed the driver's vision. Although Mase admitted to consuming alcohol, he declined blood testing. Mase was charged with Driving Under the Influence (M), Careless Driving (S), Reckless Driving (S), and Windshield Obstructions and Wipers (S).
