On Sunday January 18, 2026, Middlesex Township Police officers were dispatched to a retail establishment for a report of a theft in progress. Upon arrival and investigation, officers determined the suspect had stolen numerous items from the store.

The suspect, identified as Latasha Howard, was located a short time later in Carlisle Borough. With assistance from the Carlisle Borough Police Department, Howard was taken into custody without further incident.

Following her arrest, officers discovered Howard was unlawfully concealing a controlled substance in her undergarments.

Howard was transported to CCP for processing and subsequent arraignment. She faces charges including felony Retail Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
