Lower Chichester Township Police Department would like to introduce our newest full-time Police Officer. Officer Claire Burkert was sworn in, on Monday, October 20th, as the most recently hired full-time Police Officer, but that's not the only things special about this Hire. Officer Burkert is the first Full-Time, Female, Police Officer in the history of the Lower Chichester Township Police Department.
Officer Burkert was sworn in by the Honorable Judge Griffin and was joined by friends and family as well as Chief Gaspari and Rocco Gaspari (seen pictured). Officer Burkert graduated from the Delaware County Police Academy in 2021, and brings with her nearly 4 years of Law Enforcement experience, with Marcus Hook Borough PD, as well as Upland Borough PD. She also brings with her a bachelor's degree in criminal justice as well as a minor in Computer Forensics from Widener University.
She is no stranger to hard work and physical activity, as in her spare time, Officer Burkert's hobbies include physical fitness, weightlifting, boxing and kickboxing.
We look forward to benefiting from the knowledge and experience that Officer Burkert brings to Lower Chichester Township, as we continue to provide 24/7 Police Services to the residents of Lower Chichester Township.
Welcome aboard Officer Claire Burkert.
