*11/9/25 - Yeager Road is open*

On November 7, 2025, at 11:30 PM, UPT Police and Fire responded for downed wires on Yeager Road near Andrew Way.  The arcing wire from the high voltage line caused an underground gas main to catch fire.  PECO crews have been at the scene throughout the night and will continue to do so today.  PECO has the gas main situation under control, although nearby residents may see bursts of flames as they continue to work on the gas main.  They have assured us that there is no danger to the community.  Yeager Road will be closed between S. Lewis Road and Mingo Road for most of today (November 8th).  Fire Departments are standing by.  Some communities may experience intermittent utility outages as a result of this incident.
