Lisa Guzman was taken into custody on the warrant by Fountain Hill Police Department on September 26, 2025. Guzman was arraigned by a judge, who set bail at $25,000 unsecured. Guzman was released pending a preliminary hearing.

On March 8, 2025, at 9:23 am, Forks Township Police Department responded to the 2700 block of Destiny Lane for a theft report. The victim reported receiving overdraft alert notices from a bank, which lead to the discovery of four separate ATM transactions for a total of $4,000. The victim suspected their caretaker of being responsible for the unauthorized transactions. Police obtained a search warrant for bank records and surveillance footage. The caretaker, Lisa Guzman, was positively identified in the video. Northampton County District Attorney's Office approved the charges against Guzman for (1 count) Financial Exploitation of an Older Adult or Care Dependent Person (F3) and (1 count) Theft by Unlawful Taking (F3).
