NCPD Arrests Suspect with Stolen Gun

North Charleston Police Department officers arrested 19-year-old Atlai Reyes Carrera on Thursday evening for carrying a stolen gun. Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to Alston Avenue following reports that two men had robbed victims at gunpoint. Shortly after, a suspect matching one of the descriptions was spotted on Midland Park Road. After a brief foot chase, officers apprehended Carrera, who was found in possession of a stolen firearm. He was charged with Possession of Stolen Goods and transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
