On 9/25/2025, the Lower Swatara Township Police Department received a generous donation from the community's local Mid Penn Bank branch. In the aftermath of the recent deadly shootings of Law Enforcement officers in York County, the financial institution wanted to show their appreciation for our department and officers by delivering pizzas, doughnuts, various snacks, and Mid Penn Bank pens, keychain lights, and beverage can coolers. 

The department is grateful for our community partners and appreciates this recognition from Mid Penn Bank that policing is not only physically and mentally challenging, but can be life-threatening as well.
