On 8/12/2025, at approximately 10:49 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of North Walnut and East Portland Streets for a vehicle into a house. Upon arrival officers determined a crash had occurred. Investigation into the crash determined Bailey was operating her vehicle east on East Portland Street. Upon reaching the intersection with North Walnut Street, she did not stop for the stop sign and upon entering into the intersection struck Gariepy's vehicle which was travelling north on North Walnut Street. Gariepy's vehicle struck a sign and continued into the house located at 211 East Portland Street prior to stopping. Both vehicles required towing and Garipey was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
