On July 24th, 2025, the Lower Allen Township Police Department's warrant for Jalin Brown was served.
On July 23, 2024 at around 6:45 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched for an active forgery at the Capital City Mall. County advised that the forgery had occurred at H and M, and a counterfeit $100 bill was successfully passed to make a purchase. While responding to the mall, Mall Security provided a description of the male that committed the forgery and last seen headed towards the back of the mall. Mall Security advised that the male was to be a white male with dirty blonde hair, wearing a white tee shirt, and black shorts.
The male was observed walking behind the Sportsman's Warehouse building. He continued walking down the street onto Gettysburg Road. Officers were able to apprehend the male in a nearby business parking lot. The male was identified as William M. McGinnis out of North Carolina.
Through further investigation with Mall Security, it was learned that McGinnis was working with three other people; one being a black male wearing a Chicago Bulls jersey.
McGinnis' phone was seized upon arrest. A search warrant was applied for, granted, and executed on McGinnis' phone. Upon investigation, the black male wearing the Chicago Bulls jersey was identified as Jalin Dangelo Brown also from North Carolina. Brown and McGinnis were engaged in text-based communications with each other while at the Capital City Mall.
A warrant has been issued for Brown's arrest.
