On October 30, 2018, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched to Bortek Industries, 4713 Gettysburg Road, in reference to a fraud. An employee who handles finance had received emails which appeared to be from the owner of the company instructing her to make payments through a bank wire transfer. Three transfers were made to a Bank of America account totaling $56,249.

The account was in the name of Jesse Hanson from Rome, Ga. The money was withdrawn from a branch in Cartersville, Ga. Their policy is for identification to be displayed when withdrawing cash.

A search warrant for bank records confirmed that Jesse Hanson was the owner of the account, and that the money was withdrawn from his account. A search warrant for his phone records confirmed that Hanson's phone was near the local bank branch on the dates the money was withdrawn.

A warrant has been issued for Hanson's arrest.
