Investigation

On Monday, May 12th, 2025, at approximately 11:35 pm, York City Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. King St. for a reported slashing/stabbing incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 34-year-old male victim with deep lacerations on his arm. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

While officers were investigating, they located and arrested Starling Lopez, a 41-year-old male, for the assault. 

Lopez is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, tampering with evidence, and driving with a suspended license.
