On April 23, 2025, officers from the SRPD received a report of an assault at 280 Ore Mine Road in East Donegal Township. Upon arrival, the officers determined that the defendant, Roman Shearer, had assaulted the victim by strangling him multiple times, resulting in injuries. Shearer was charged with strangulation, assault, and recklessly endangering another person. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
