The Lancaster County Drug Task Force arrested two Lancaster Township residents accused of selling methamphetamine in their home with a toddler present.
Kristina Kadian, 32, and Joseph Eberle, 45, were each charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, criminal conspiracy and endangering the welfare of children – all felony offenses.
Task Force detectives began investigating Kadian and Eberle in December 2024. As part of the investigation, several undercover or confidential informants purchased methamphetamine from their residence in the 1200 block of Wabank Road using pre-recorded buy money.
A 2-year-old toddler was inside the residence when the drug purchases were made, and the methamphetamine Kadian and Eberle are accused of possessing could have been accessible to the child.
The Task Force, assisted by Lancaster Township police and Homeland Security Investigations, executed a search and seizure warrant at the couple’s residence on Jan. 23, recovering 12.2 grams of methamphetamine valued at $732, three grams of marijuana valued at $30 and various items of drug paraphernalia. Police also arrested Kadian and Eberle at the same time.
The toddler was inside the residence when the warrant was executed.
Kadian later told police that she uses methamphetamine and marijuana and breastfeeds the toddler with those drugs in her system.
Judge Mary Sponaugle set bail for both Eberle and Kadian at $10,000. Both Eberle and Kadian remain in Lancaster County Prison in lieu of that amount.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
