Our department is seeing an increase in parking tickets issued, and we want to help prevent future infractions by clarifying some common parking ordinance violations.
One recurring issue is the blocking of garages, driveways, and curb ramps. You cannot park your vehicle in a way that obstructs access to these areas, even if it’s your own garage or driveway.
Another commonly misunderstood violation involves these required distances for parking near intersections, signs, and crosswalks:
Any vehicle unlawfully parked in the circumstances stated above may be subject to towing and reclaimed by the owner upon payment of towing costs.
