UPDATE: 

Greensburg, PA -- Pennsylvania State Police, the Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office, and the victim agreed to dismiss criminal charges in a theft case against a Kentucky woman after she agreed to pay restitution to the owners of the business. 

Pennsylvania State Police investigated in 2024 after the owner of Baneberry Meadows Bed & Breakfast in Donegal Township discovered multiple items taken, including an antique wooden bar. 

Samantha Brown and her husband showed interest in purchasing the bed and breakfast and agreed to manage and operate the property until they were able to purchase it. 

The owner contacted police after a guest arrived for a reservation, and the building was locked. 

Felony charges of theft and receiving stolen property against Samantha Brown were withdrawn, with consent of the victims, after she paid $18,000 in restitution to the owners. 

This case is considered closed.

Donegal Township, PA -- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a proposed business deal led to theft allegations against a Kentucky woman.

Samantha Brown, 34, of Louisville, Kentucky, is wanted for theft and receiving stolen property. 

State troopers were contacted by the owner of Baneberry Meadows Bed & Breakfast in Donegal Township after he discovered multiple items taken, including an antique wooden bar. 

The victim said he was contacted by Brown who was interested in purchasing the bed and breakfast, which was listed for sale in early 2024. 

Brown agreed to manage the bed and breakfast until she and her husband were able to purchase it. 

The victim told troopers Brown consented to splitting the profits, under the guidance of the current owner to get the establishment up and running. 

Police said the victim was under the impression that the business was running smoothly until he was contacted by a guest who arrived to stay there in June, but no one was there, and the building was locked. 

The victim attempted to contact Brown and her husband but was unable to. 

In addition to the antique bar, six metal high top tables, 6 wooden barstools, and a large brown leather couch was missing from the bed and breakfast. 

State Police are still looking for Brown. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact State Police in Greensburg at 724-832-3288.
