On June 24, 2024 the Oxford Police received a harassment complaint in which the female victim provided text messages that were sent from a previous boyfriend that included threats to her life.  Further investigation confirmed that the messages were sent to the victim by Chase Langley, 20, of Paradise. Criminal charges were filed and a summons was issued.  

A preliminary hearing was held on August 20, 2024 at the Oxford District Court where Langley plead guilty to harassment and must attend anger management classes.
