WANTED FOR CRIMINAL ATTEMPT HOMICIDE & AGGRAVTED ASSAULT: JONATHAN JOSEPH CAMERON

On Sunday 17 June 2016, at approximately 1835hrs. officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to the intersection of Lenox Ln. and E. Grant St., Lancaster, PA for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival officers located an adult male victim on Lenox Ln., just south of E. Grant St. The victim was suffering from a laceration to the face and a stab wound to the torso. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Officers located several witnesses and were able to determine that the victim and suspect are known to each other and that the assault does not appear to be a random act. Members of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police Criminal Investigative Division are currently investigating the the incident and are in the process of following-up on numerous leads, to include reviewing video footage from the area of the assault.

UPDATED INFORMATION 7/18/16 1600 hrs.

The suspect in this case has been identified as Jonathan Joseph Cameron. Det. Deeter obtained a warrant charging Cameron with Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault. Cameron is not in Police custody. Cameron does not have a fixed address and is believed to be homeless.
