Greensburg, PA -- A Sewickley Township woman was sentenced to serve 6 to 15 years in prison for her role in an accident that took the life of another driver.
Ahna Malik, 44, was found guilty of all 17 counts in May of 2024 in relation to the fatal accident that took the life of a Madison woman.
Malik was sentenced on July 23, 2024, by Common Pleas Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio.
In March of 2022, Malik attempted to pass several vehicles on Arona Road in Hempfield Township before driving her vehicle into oncoming traffic and striking another car, killing the driver.
Toxicology tests revealed Malik had drugs in her system at the time of the accident, including crystal meth and marijuana.
Malik was also charged with several drug-related offenses after troopers found narcotics in Malik's car the day of the accident.
Malik's bond was revoked after a jury found her guilty in May.
