New Kensington, PA – New Kensington Police and the Westmoreland County Detective Bureau have filed charges against a New Kensington man in the stabbing death of his former roommate.
Nico Harris, 40, was charged with criminal homicide, burglary and criminal trespassing.
On July 5, 2024, New Kensington Police responded to the 600 block of Freeport Road after the victim, David Risher, was found stabbed to death inside of the residence.
Earlier that day, Risher was reported missing by a relative after he could not be located in the home by his roommate or relatives.
Harris lived in the Freeport Road residence with Risher and another roommate until September of 2023.
Harris was arraigned on July 6, 2024 and lodged in the Westmoreland County Prison without bail.
