Full-Time Police Officer

The Plumstead Township Police Department, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time sworn police officer. Accredited by the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission, the Department is committed to professionalism, community engagement, and innovative policing strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Salary: $75,194 annually
• Longevity pay after 5 years of service
• Vacation: Up to 240 hours per year
• Sick Leave: Up to 96 hours per year

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements at the time of hire:

• United States citizen
• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Physically and mentally capable of performing the duties of a police officer
• Possess a valid driver’s license issued by Pennsylvania or another state
• Successful completion of a recruit training program certified by the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission (Act 120) prior to hire

All applications will undergo an initial review of qualifications and Act 120 certification. Selected candidates will proceed through an oral interview process. Final candidates will be subject to a comprehensive background investigation, polygraph examination, and medical and psychological evaluations.
