On June 4, 2024 around 4:30 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department began watching cameras in the Capital City Mall for any active incidents. Around 4:40 PM, two females were observed carrying large empty bags. The females entered American Eagle and were observed moving back and forth from a display that had jean shorts on it over to a corner of the store. After being in the store for about 10 minutes, they exited and started towards center court with the bags now full. At this time, one of the females turned around and went outside to the vehicle they arrived in, a white Dodge Grand Caravan. This female changed parking spots and then the other female exited Macy's and met the driver at the vehicle.
Both females then re-entered the Mall and are observed stealing items from Macy's. After the females re-entered their vehicle and began to drive away, officers initiated a traffic stop on the Caravan. The suspects were identified as Quetesha Payne (driver) and Shaniqua Wallace-Goins (passenger). At least $2,052 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered from the vehicle.
Payne was found to have 5 prior retail theft convictions and Wallace-Goins was found to have 8 prior retail theft convictions. Both were transported to CCP. Both had bail set at $2,052.
