On May 13, 2024, the Pocono Township Police Department participated in the National "Click or Ticket" Enforcement Mobilization. Approximately 400 law enforcement agencies are participating in this enforcement mobilization from May 13 through June 2, 2024. In 2023, there were 11,756 crashes where at least one person was not wearing a seat belt, resulting in 316 fatalities and 868 suspected serious injuries. During this enforcement detail, Pocono Township Police Officers issued a total of 31 citations for violations, including 22 Move Over Law violations and 4 seatbelt violations. Pocono Township Police will be conducting further "Click or Ticket" details throughout the summer. Remember wearing your seatbelt is a primary law, which means that police will pull you over, write you a ticket and if convicted, you will have to pay a fine.
Pocono Township Police Department would like to thank D'Amico's Autobody and Towing for donating one of their tow trucks for the detail.
