On May 7, 2024, the Lower Allen Township Police Department's arrest warrant for Stanley Mitchell was served.
On October 24, 2023 around 4:00 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched to call a 74-year-old resident on Sussex Road in reference to a non-active fraud.
On the day beforehand, she was outside doing yard work when a male and female arrived at her residence and offered to pave her driveway for $38. She agreed and they "sealed" the driveway but then demanded $2,300 from her. They persuaded her to go to the back and withdraw cash for the payment.
The actual paving job was found to be cheap and sloppy. The male had provided a flyer with a phone number. Through investigation, this number came back to Stanley Mitchell and Sonia Tene. Numerous reports from neighboring states, spanning the last 10 years, involving identical driveway sealing scams and theft by deception cases were found. Additionally, "SM" was listed on the bottom of the flyer, and Mitchell matched the physical description provided by the victim. A photograph of Tene was obtained from an older driver's license, and she also resembled the description provided by the victim.
A warrant has been issued for Mitchell's arrest. Warrant served.
