On February 9, 2024, Berwick Police Officers went to 1638 Fairview Avenue in Berwick Borough based on receiving information that Derek Ray, who temporarily resided at that address, had an active arrest warrant for him out of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Officers did make contact with Derek Ray at the residence and secured him into police custody.  Ray was later charged with Arrest Prior to Requisition and lodged at the Columbia County Prison pending extradition.
