On January 23rd, 2024, at approximately 2045 hours, an officer observed a motor vehicle violation and conducted a traffic stop. The officer observed this male to be nervous and his statements to be evasive when asked about the ownership of the vehicle. The officer also developed probable cause a controlled substance was within the vehicle and conducted a search of the vehicle. During the search, the officer located 50 small bags containing a white powdery substance and glass smoking devices, the white powdery substance tested positive for heroin. Officers contacted the registered owner of the vehicle who was unaware his vehicle was gone and does not know this male who was operating the vehicle. This male was subsequently charged for the offenses.
