New Full-Time Officers Welcomed

On Wednesday evening January 17, 2024, at the Lower Saucon Township Council meeting, two new full-time officers were sworn in by District Judge Alan Mege.

Stephen Voros Jr, Badge#1611

2014 graduate of Shawnee High School in Medford, New Jersey, served from 2014 - 2018 in the United States Marine Corp, 2021 graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and is a 2022 graduate from the Delaware County Community College Police Academy. Stephen previously worked part-time with the Darby Township Police Department in Delaware County, since January 2023. Stephen currently resides in Philadelphia.

Richard Chekay, Badge#1612

2017 graduate of Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills, 2022 graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a minor in Public Policy and is a 2022 graduate of the Temple University Police Academy. Richard previously worked part-time with the Yardley Borough Police Department in Bucks County, since April 2023. Richard currently resides in Chalfont.

Both officers will begin their field training on Monday January 22, 2024. Upon successful completion of their field training, they will be assigned to a patrol team.

Thank you to our Township Council for their ongoing support of the police department.

We wish both new officers a safe and successful career with the Lower Saucon Township Police Department.
