Susquehanna Regional Police Department had been coordinating with Police authorities in Washington County, OR regarding locating and arresting George Ditzler III. Dittzler was wanted in Oregon for Criminal Attempt-Homicide. On Friday 22 December 2023, Off. Siegel received information that Ditzler might be at an address in Lancaster City. Off. Siegel forwarded that information to Lancaster City Bureau of Police. 

Det. Sgt. Ginder researched the information and found that Ditzler likely had family at that address. Members of Lancaster City Bureau of Police Platoon C and Detectives went to the home on the 400 blk. W. Vine St. 

Sgt. Ginder was able to establish contact, via telephone, with family inside the home. Family confirmed that Diztler was inside. After approximately (25) minutes of conversation on the phone, Ditzler exited the home and surrendered to Police without incident. 

The warrant through Washington County, OR was confirmed and Ditzler was transported to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police station. A criminal complaint for Arrest Prior to Requisition (Fugitive From Justice) will be filed against Ditzler. He will be arraigned by a Magisterial District Justice. Authorities in Oregon will coordinate with the Lancaster County District Attorney's Officer to arrange extradition back to Oregon. 

All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
