In the early morning hours of October 16, 2023, approximately at 3:44 AM, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police, on routine patrol, discovered a person lying on the sidewalk in the 100 block of N. Prince St. It was determined the individual was beyond medical help and were pronounced deceased shortly after they were discovered. The victim was 17 years of age and a resident of Manheim Township. 

Detective Adam Dommel of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and a deputy coroner from the Lancaster County Coroner's Office responded to the incident. While there were no indications of foul play, the investigation remains ongoing. The Bureau will update this post if there is additional information to be released to the public.
