On October 7th, 2023, at 0736 hours Officers from the Pocono Township Police Department responded to the Scotrun Diner located at 2576 State Route 611 for a theft of used cooking oil. Officers received information that the suspect vehicle was a white van with a ladder rack on the top with a NJ registration and 2 female occupants.

While enroute, an Officer located the vehicle, a white Chevrolet Express van bearing NJ registration of F61RZB traveling southbound on SR611 in front of Turkey Hill (2837 SR611) and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. Officers came in contact with the operator of the vehicle and defendant 23-year-old Yuliana Perez Sanchez from Jersey City, NJ and the passenger of the vehicle 40-year-old Aranely Sanchez-Conde from Jersey City, NJ.

Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to MCCF for processing and the van was impounded.
