On August 5, 2023, at approximately 0040 hours, Officers with the Pocono Township Police Department responded to the area of Toccoa Road for a report of an intoxicated female who was acting violently. Upon arrival Officers were advised that the female, Linda J. Eason a 56-year-old from Eagleville, PA., was extremely intoxicated and causing a disturbance. It was also reported that she had already injured herself after falling and had fled into the woods on foot. Eason was immediately located lying on the ground in a nearby wooded area. Officers attempted to assist her, and she proceeded to kick and slap officers. Eason was placed under arrest and put into an ambulance to receive treatment for her injuries and due to the severity of her intoxication. While in the ambulance Eason proceeded to act out aggressively and bit an Officer in her attempt to flee the ambulance. Eason was transported to a nearby hospital where she continued to act out and bit the Officer an additional time. After receiving treatment Eason was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment on the charges of Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness and Harassment.
