Police Incident: Found Military Ordnance

On July 23, 2023 at approximately 1:46 PM, Officers were dispatched via Lancaster County-Wide Communications (LCWC) to the 00 block of East Orange Street in Elizabethtown Borough after a resident discovered a possible military ordnance.  It was initially believed the ordnance was inert but out of an abundance of caution, the Pennsylvania State Police Bomb Squad responded to inspect the ordnance where it was subsequently confirmed to be inert and properly disposed of.  Fire Police from Elizabethtown Fire Department, Mount Joy Fire Department and Bainbridge Fire Department were requested to direct traffic from the area.  There were no safety concerns to the general public.  All roadways have since been reopened and Officers have cleared the scene.
