The Hanover Township Police Department arrested MATTHEW ZAREMBA following a report of suspicious activity on Wilkes-Barre St.
Officers located ZAREMBA on Ferry Rd. and, upon making contact, ZAREMBA threw a firearm under an Officer’s patrol vehicle.
ZAREMBA was detained and discovered to have an active felony warrant out of the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department. He was taken into custody and later transferred to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
On 06/18/23, ZAREMBA was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Spagnuolo and his bail was set at $50,000.
During this incident, ZAREMBA was found to be in possession of numerous items that may have been stolen from the Breslau area. The firearm was also discovered to be stolen.
Additional charges will be added at the conclusion of this investigation.
