The District Attorney will hold an Awards Ceremony on May 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lobby of the Dauphin County Courthouse
On May 14th, 2024, we will have our awards ceremony at 2 p.m. on the first floor of the Dauphin County Courthouse. At that time, we will present the following awards:
-The District Attorney's Award for Valor
-The Lieutenant Robert “Bo” McCallister Memorial Award for Outstanding Service as a Patrol Officer
-The Detective Samuel Thomas Kohr Memorial Award for Outstanding Service as a Detective
-The Detective Willie Holland Memorial Award for Outstanding Career Service as a Police Officer
-The Honorable LeRoy S. Zimmerman Award for Outstanding Service by a Prosecutor
-The District Attorney's Award for Outstanding Service by a Probation/Parole Officer
-The Lieutenant Dennis H. DeVoe Memorial Award for Excellence in Emergency Response
-The District Attorney’s Award for Outstanding Service by a Citizen
In 2024, May 15th is Peace Officers Memorial Day and part of National Police Week. We have celebrated Peace Officers Memorial Day in the United States since 1963. On October 1, 1962, President Kennedy signed the joint resolution of Congress that created Peace Officers Memorial Day.
