Greensburg, PA – Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announces the conviction of Alfred Tournay, 55, of Trafford.
A Westmoreland County jury convicted Tournay on 12 of the 15 counts on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, after he was charged following a brutal assault in December of 2020 in Trafford.
Tournay was found guilty of aggravated assault, multiple simple assault counts, burglary with person present and terroristic threats.
Tournay’s estranged girlfriend at the time testified that Tourney kicked in her bedroom door and started kicking her in the face.
Neighbors across the street found the victim outside, bleeding in the street and asked if she needed help when Tourney verbally attacked the neighbors before he broke into their home and assaulted the husband and wife.
The homeowners were punched, and one was beat with a cane by Tournay
Jurors deliberated for more than four hours before convicting Tournay.
He will be sentenced in 90 days.
