for the Month of September 2022
ARRESTS
DUI, September 1, 2022, W. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough – Jeffrey Brinsfield, M/51, Hatboro, PA, was charged with the above offense after a traffic stop. Brinsfield presented with slurred speech and the officer observed an open beverage can in his vehicle. Brinsfield was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw and released. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Liquor Law Violation, September 2, 2022, E. State Street, Doylestown Borough – A Juvenile, F/17, was cited with the above offense for underage drinking.
Criminal Mischief to Residence, September 5, 2022, Doyle Street, Doylestown Borough – Natalie Harris, F/28, Furlong, PA, was charged with the above offense after she was identified on surveillance video as the person who broke the window of a residence and fled the scene. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Retail Theft, September 3, 2022, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – John Michael Michel, M/69, North Wales, PA, was charged with the above offense after police responded to a local store for a theft complaint. The manager of the store reported several thefts within a couple of days. Video surveillance was provided to police and Michel was identified on the dates of the thefts. Michel was taken into custody, processed, arraigned, and bail set at $1,500.00 unsecured with conditions. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Harassment/Disorderly Conduct, September 4, 2022, E. Butler Avenue, New Britain Borough – Ronald Goodwin, M/22, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offenses after a verbal argument escalated and the victim claimed that Goodwin struck them on the back of the head when leaving. Citations were issued.
Assault, September 4, 2022, N. Broad Street, Doylestown Borough – Ryan Campbell, M/30, Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense after police were called to a domestic situation. The victim claims that a verbal argument escalated. Neighbors heard the victim screaming and police were told that Campbell put his hands on the victim’s neck which police observed to be red and irritated. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Threats, September 3, 2022, Moyer Road, Chalfont Borough – A juvenile male was charged with the above offense after students reported seeing threats made on social media. A juvenile allegation was filed.
Disorderly Conduct, September 10, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Justin Porter, M/38, Jamison, PA, was cited for the above offense after police were called to a local establishment. Porter refused to leave when told by police and was taken into custody. While in custody Porter refused to follow instructions and was resistant. A Citation was issued.
Ordinance Violation, September 15, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – 5 individuals were cited for the above offense for soliciting for LCM Inc. and Tomorrow Energy without a permit. Citations were issued.
DUI, September 16, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Steven Hasaka, M/28, Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense after a traffic stop. Hasaka was driving on a flat tire, presented with bloodshot eyes, and failed sobriety tests. He was transported to Doylestown hospital for legal blood draw and released. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Theft of Services, September 17, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – John Michael Michel, M/69, North Wales, PA, was charged with the above offense for walking out of a local establishment without paying his bill. A Citation was issued.
Sex Offenses, September 19, 2022, S. Chubb Drive, Doylestown Borough – Devon Weiss, M/23, Lansdale, PA, was charged with the above offense for luring a minor for sex after the reporting party posed as a 13-year-old boy. The “meet” took place at Veterans Memorial Park, Doylestown Borough on July 24, 2022. Weiss started talking to the fictitious boy through a web forum. Police obtained numerous text messages from Weiss to the “boy” requesting sexual acts. Weiss was arrested without incident, arraigned, bail set at $150,000 unsecured with conditions.
Disorderly Conduct/Harassment, September 17, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Daniel Rios, M/29, Perkasie, PA, was cited for the above offenses after police were called to a local establishment for a disturbance. Citations were issued.
Disorderly Conduct, September 18, 2022, W. Court Street, Doylestown Borough – Jack Coller, M/21, Chalfont, PA, was cited for the above offense for urinating in public. A Citation was issued.
Trespassing, September 18, 2022, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Raymond Lopes, M/59, was charged for the above offense after police responded to a local business complaining that Lopes was refusing to leave the premises. Police took Lopes into custody on an outstanding warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department. Lopes was arraigned, bail set at $2,500 unsecured with conditions and remanded to the Bucks County Prison.
Fraud, September 21, 2022, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough - Shmaica Johnson, F/41, Philadelphia, PA was charged with Access Device Issued to Another Who Did Not Authorize and Theft by Unlawful Taking after an investigation into fraudulent activity. The victim claimed that their debit card was stolen, and several transactions were made without their consent. Video surveillance showed Johnson using the debit card at a local ATM. Shmaica was arrest , arraigned, and bail set at $10,000 unsecured.
Public Drunkenness, September 25, 2022, E. Court Street, Doylestown Borough – Jordan Jakavick, M/21, Warrington, PA, was cited for the above offense after police found him passed out on the ground. Jakavick presented with several factors of intoxication. Jakavick refused EMS treatment. A Citation was issued.
Simple Assault, September 30, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Vincent Kline, M/63, was charged with the above offense after police were called for a subject who was threatening others with a cane and swinging a padlock on a string. Kline was taken into custody, arraigned and released on unsecured bail. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
