Warminster Township Police Department  -Arrests and Notable Incidents Blotter:

Period 5/15/2022 to 5/22/22

NOTICE:  Warminster Township’s Annual Memorial Day Parade will be held this Monday May 30^th 2022 from approximately 9am to 12pm.  The Parade will start at the township building after a ceremony and then proceed along the parade route.  Expect some road closures, traffic delays and heavier than normal pedestrian traffic during this time.  The parade closures will affect mainly the areas of Henry Ave, York Road and parts of Street Roads.  Please plan accordingly. 
 

WT-22-05455 Disorderly Conduct

On 5/17/2022 at approximately 12:37AM while on patrol officers observed a male urinating in public in the area of the hundred block of N. York Road.  The 45 YOA Male from Collegeville Pa was issued a citation for Disorderly conduct. 

WT-22-05142 Underage Drinking / Disturbance

Police cited a 19 YOA Male from Perkasie with Underage Drinking after responding to a disturbance in the area of the 100 Block of E. Street Road.       

WT-22-05008 Dog Bite Incident

A 63 YOA Female from Warminster was cited after an investigation was completed into a dog bite incident that occurred in the area of Buttercup Drive.

WT-22-03378 Theft Arrest

After an investigation was completed a 28 YOA Female from Philadelphia was arrested for theft of medication from a CVS Pharmacy located on E. Countyline Road.   The female was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property. 

WT-22-05396 Retail Theft Arrest

Officers arrested a 34 YOA Female for a retail theft that had occurred from the Giant.  Female was charged with the Retail theft and related offenses. 

WT-22-03033 Driving Under the Influence Arrest / Hit and Run Investigation

Officers completed an investigation of a hit and run vehicle crash that occurred in the 300 block of E. Countyline Road.  Officers arrested the operator of the striking vehicle. The 25 YOA Male from Warminster was charged with Driving Under the Influence and related offenses.  

WT-22-05611 Public Drunkenness

On 5/20/2022 at 2:05PM officers responded to the area of the 600 block of Mearns Road for the check the well being of a person who appeared to be passed out in the grass.  After investigating Officers found the 28 YOA Male to be intoxicated.  The male was cited for public drunkenness and transported back to his residence. 

WT-22-05710 Defiant Trespass Arrest

On 5/22/2022 at 6:49PM officers responded to an apartment complex in the 100 block of E. Street Road for a trespassing complaint of a known subject who was not supposed to be on the property. After investigation a 19 YOA Male from Perkasie was cited for Defiant Trespass.

WT-22-05698 Driving Under the Influence Arrest

On 5/22/2022 at approximately 2:17PM Officers were dispatched to the area of Street Rd and Norristown Road for a speeding and reckless motorist complaint.  Upon arrival Officers made contact with the suspected vehicle and the operator a 51 YOA Female from Warminster.  Upon further investigation the operator was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and related offenses.

If you need to make a police report, report a crime in progress or that has recently occurred and or speak with an Officer in regard to a situation, you can dial 911 for emergencies or 215-672-1000 for our non-emergency dispatcher 24 hours a day. You can also stop into our 24 hour police lobby to have an officer meet with you there.

***  Catalytic Converter Thefts have become very common more recently especially for certain types of vehicles.  The thefts happen quickly with the actor(s) in and out of the area normally within a few minutes.  Most of the time the actor(s) uses a type of saw and quickly cut the expensive converters off the vehicle, then flee the area. These stolen converters are generally then sold for the scrap & rare metals that are found inside. The fact they are not removing them to be reused on another vehicle is why they can quickly cut them off and leave the area in a hurry.  We are asking everyone to be extra vigilant for this type of activity.  If you see suspicious activity around parked vehicles, do not hesitate to call 911 or 215-672-1000 (Non-Emergency dispatch) to have officer’s respond out and check the area.  Please inform the dispatcher if you have any helpful information so that they can alert the responding officers. Some helpful information would be the description of the actor(s)/their vehicle, The actor(s) direction of travel if they have already left the area, the vehicle/location that you suspect the theft occurred from and any other information you may feel is helpful.  Please be safe and do not put yourself in harm’s way.  The main thing is to get an officer out to check the area as soon as possible if the crime is in progress or suspicious activity has just occurred.
