On Wednesday September 2, 2020 at approximately 0123 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon B, responded to Penn Medicine/ LGH for a report of gunshot victim the Emergency Medicine Department. Officers were informed that the patient had been transported to the hospital by private vehicle.  The patient, a 33 year old male resident of Lancaster County, was undergoing life-saving measures by the staff at the hospital and was unable to speak with Officers. The occupants of the vehicle told Officers that they found the patient on the street near the intersection of E. King St. at Ann St.  Officers checked the area and located a potential crime scene on the 500 blk. East End Ave. Spent shell casings and blood were found at that location. A crime scene perimeter was established. Officers and Investigators canvassed the scene for evidence, witnesses, suspect information, additional victims as well as video surveillance locations.  The victim remains in critical but stable condition at the hospital.

UPDATE - VICTIM DIES FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED IN SHOOTING (September 5, 2020)

On Saturday morning, September 5, 2020, Detectives of the Lancaster Bureau of Police were informed that the victim of the East End Ave shooting has succumb to his injuries and died at the hospital.   The victim has been identified as William DELIZ, a 23 year-old resident of Manor Township.   The investigation is on-going and continues.   Detectives have been reviewing video footage from around the area and interviewing witnesses.   The initial investigation indicates that the victim was with other individuals in the 500 Blk. East End Ave when the shooting occurred and the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.
