Officers of the Hanover Borough Police Department will display purple ribbons on their uniforms and patrol vehicles during the month of October 2026 in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We are grateful to organizations such as Safe Home of the Hanover YWCA for their support, advocacy, and empowerment of victims of domestic violence. We also thank York County District Attorney, Timothy J. Barker, and his staff for their efforts in pursuing justice for victims of domestic violence. Also, we thank the members of the Victim-Witness unit for their efforts in supporting these victims as they navigate a traumatic process.
