NEWS RELEASE - Arson Fire - ARREST

The Hanover Borough Police Department has charged Tiffany Nicole Rife, age 29 of Arendtsville, with Arson, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Arson, Causing or Risking Catastrophe, Criminal Mischief, Corruption of Minors, Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime, and Criminal Trespass. Rife was arrested in Adams County on July 20, 2026, and arraigned before the Honorable Magistrate Gessner. Rife was committed to the York County Prison in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.

Additionally, charges are pending against a 15 year old Arendstville juvenile for Arson, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Arson, Causing or Risking Catastrophe, Criminal Mischief, Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime, and Criminal Trespass.

NEWS RELEASE- Arson Fire

The Hanover Borough Police Department is investigating a vehicle and structure fire that was determined to be arson, which occurred overnight.  The fire was reported on Friday, April 24, 2026 at approximately 02:19 am in the first block of Hollywood Avenue.  No one was injured and the vehicle and structure were damaged due to the fire. The structure was a garage-type outbuilding.

The Hanover Borough Police Department was assisted by Hanover Area Fire and Rescue, Northern York County Regional Police, and the US Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have additional information is asked to contact the police department at 717-637-5575 or through York County 911.

The investigation continues.  No further information is available at this time.
