On June 13th, 2026, at approximately 9:49 am, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred in the 400 block of East Main Street. Upon arrival officers determined a vehicle was travelling west on East Main Street. Traffic in front of their vehicle came to a stop and they could not stop their vehicle prior to striking the vehicle in front of them. The impact pushed the struck vehicle into the vehicle in front of theirs. The drivers of the two struck vehicles both were transported to the hospital for further evaluation of their injuries from the crash. The striking vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Life Lion EMS, Hampden Township EMS, and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
