The Upper Merion Township Police Department and Emergency Services continue to monitor the situation involving a gasoline pipeline that was struck earlier today. This update follows the earlier Shelter-in-Place advisory issued to residents in the surrounding area.
There is currently no immediate threat to the community, and the Shelter-in-Place advisory has been lifted. However, out of an abundance of caution, residents are strongly encouraged to continue avoiding the affected area while emergency responders and environmental cleanup crews work to safely resolve the situation.
We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as response efforts continue.
