P.U.M.C. PASTOR MARK BEIDEMAN a.k.a. THE FASTER PASTOR, conducted his final mass today in front of family, friends, and parishioners. Those in attendance expressed their gratitude for PASTOR BEIDEMAN’s 30 years of dedicated service and for his commitment to our community.
The service included an impromptu interruption by Parkesburg Borough Mayor John P. Hagan II, who spoke of PASTOR BEIDEMAN’s impact on our community and the lives of so many, before presenting him with the coveted Mayor’s Fedora Award.
While PASTOR BEIDEMAN is well known for his energy and charm during his sermons, once or twice you could hear the heartfelt emotional impact in his voice, while expressing his sincere appreciation for the opportunity to serve.
Although PASTOR BEIDEMAN is officially retiring, he will remain present behind the scenes in the church, assisting on an as needed basis. Additionally, PASTOR BEIDEMAN has graciously accepted the request of the Police Department to remain as the department’s CHAPLAIN. With the nickname of THE FASTER PASTOR, we shouldn’t expect him to fade off into retirement.
