Geoffrey Reynolds, 53 of Harrisburg, was sentenced February 10, 2014 to serve 8 years to 16 years in a state correctional institution for drug and firearm offenses.
In 2011, Reynolds was arrested by the Paxtang Police after he was caught with a handgun in the center console of his car. Reynolds was not permitted to possess a firearm in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania due to prior weapon and drug convictions. After his arrest, Reynolds was able to post the $25,000 bail that was set. Initially, Reynolds was able to have the evidence in his case suppressed but the Commonwealth successfully appealed that decision to the Superior Court. While his appellate case was pending, in December of 2012, Reynolds delivered cocaine to an undercover officer and was then arrested and found in possession of a second handgun. The cases were prosecuted by Senior Deputy District Attorney Stephen R. Zawisky.
