State's Attorney's Focus On Combating Domestic Violence During COVID-19

Carroll County and Frederick County State's Attorney's Office want victims of domestic violence to know that they are not alone, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.  While the crisis has resulted in numerous shutdowns across Maryland, critical court operations and resources aimed at responding to victims of domestic violence continue without interruption.  

First and foremost, if you are in a situation where your physical safety has been threatened, Dial 911 immediately.  If you are unable to safely call - Text 911.  Be certain to state your location and provide as much detail as you are safely able to provide.  All state, county, and local police agencies are still operating as normal and will respond to your calls and provide immediate assistance and ensure your safety.

Court Commissioners are available 24 Hours - 7 days a week to assist those individuals that need to seek an Interim Protective Order.  Carroll County Court Commissioners can be reached at 410-871-3520.  Frederick County Court Commissioners can be reached at 301-600-2009.
