SEEKING INFORMATION
STOLEN VEHICLE & THEFT FROM VEHICLES

On the morning of 11/26/2022 a MAPD Officer took multiple reports of theft from motor vehicles in the areas of Scotch Heather Ave, Summer Sweet Ln, Horpel Dr, Meadowlark Ave, Robinwood Dr, and E Church St. The theft from vehicles all involved unlocked motor vehicles. The same suspects also attempted to steal a vehicle in the 700 Block Horpel Dr and another vehicle in the 100 Block of Meadowlark Ave.
The suspects were successful in stealing a white 2012 Ford Econoline E250 with MD registration 5BC8230 from the Mt Airy Apartments (201 Watersville Rd). The vehicle was recovered on 11/28/22 in the 1100 Block of Summer Sweet Ln.
The crimes occurred from 3:00 AM to 5:30 AM on 11/26/2022.
MAPD is asking for anyone with information to contact Mount Airy Police Department at 301-703-1375 or anonymously by clicking on "Submit a Tip." We are also asking residents in those areas to check their home surveillance systems for any suspicious activity.
